Hello everyone! I am baaack! I hope you all were blessed by the two wonderful guest posts that were written these past two weeks. I sure was!
As I promised, this week I am going to, by the grace of God, share what God has taught me in these past few weeks. I am also going to share songs, verses, and words of encouragement that helped bring me through. My hope is that they are also an encouragement to you and a reminder to continually be encouraging and exhorting your brothers and sisters in Christ. (Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 13:1). These past few weeks have been hard ones. To be honest, its in times like these that I see God’s true character shine though, and I realize that without Him, I would have quit a long time ago. A week of hardship made it difficult to even read my Bible- where on earth would I be without His loving and gracious hand to pick me back up again?! He has shown me the way I am to walk, and strengthened me when I didn’t feel like standing again. This week I had it impressed on my heart to not only share the lessons that God has taught me, but to offer the same encouragement I was given. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are to uplift one another and push each other forward in this race towards the goal. That is what God wants. 8 Passages/Verses That Encouraged Me in This Season of My Life:
5 Lessons God Taught Me These Past 3 Weeks:
10 Songs That Encouraged Me in This Season:
In these hard times, you really begin to see who your true friends are. God is love, and even in our messiness, those who stick with you, encourage, and walk alongside you are your true friends. My family and I have especially noticed those who jump into action when we are hurting, instead of the ones who sit on the side lines and give a mere I’m sorry. Its the people who drive from out of state to be with you, send you songs and verses when you need them, offer a shoulder to cry on, a talk on the phone, or send you long messages of encouragement late at night while you can’t sleep that stand out. No matter what you are going through, encouragement changes so much. People need good, genuine friends and prayer warriors. (This weeks' dare:) If you know someone who is going through a hard time, be there for them, and go above and beyond and love like Jesus. It changes so much. Isn’t that how you would like to be treated if you were going through a hard time? Be the friend you want to have. Through it all, God has been good. He has taught us all how to cling on to Him more, and trust His perfect plan for our lives even when we don’t see it yet. He is GOOD, and that will never change. We know that in all things we are more than conquerors, that this isn’t the end, and that God is writing our story for His glory- and it is better than our own in every way. All glory to God, Hannah K.

I loved the part where you mentioned finding out who the true friends are. So true.

AuthorHello, I'm Hannah and I'm so glad you're here! I'm a twenty-year-old Jesus-loving writer, National Bible Bee Alumna, and homeschool graduate. Jesus redeemed me, and now I give my life, and this blog, to serve Him. Hebrews 3:13 reminds us to encourage each other daily, lest we be hardened by sin. I hope that reading each blog entry that I post you will be encouraged and challenged to become more like Christ daily. |
