Hello there!
I'm Hannah and thank you for visiting my blog! I'm a twenty-year-old Jesus-lover, National Bible Bee alumna, homeschool graduate, and writer. I created this blog back in 2016 to encourage the younger generation to stand up for Christ and to seek Him wholeheartedly. Often, we can be tempted to succumb to the world's standards and give in to the endless temptations that float around in our culture. I myself understand the pressure that is put upon this generation, but the Lord's call to be set apart for Him is greater. I'm passionate to see the youth rise up for truth amidst the darkness, no matter what is thrown at them, to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ. May we His desire His Word to become a reality and active sword of Truth in our lives. If we don't know our God, we can't proclaim Him. My prayer is that this blog will encourage you to know God for yourself and make Him known by shining His light in this dark generation. I hope this blog gives you a glimpse of how beautiful life with Jesus is. And I hope it shows you how important it is that we step out of the crowd and live as an example for this lost world to see, and a vessel that Jesus can use for His glory!
As Romans 12 tells us, we need to be apart from the world, and not conformed to it. This is my prayer for all of God's sons and daughters. When I was around sixteen years old, the Lord changed my life. I grew up in the church my whole life and was a professing but falsely converted Christian. I attended a prosperity gospel church for nearly fifteen years before waking up to the reality that the gospel isn't about me. Our family then left the church and began our journey to seek the Lord and His truth. He showed up in our lives and transformed my lust-filled and selfish heart into one into that sought after Him. Shortly after, I joined the National Bible Bee, and I learned how to study God's Word, and the importance and value it should have in our lives. My heart changed towards His Word and my love for Him only grew from there. God's Word was given to us, how will we handle it?
I believe that it is important for every person, young and old, to have a personal relationship with Jesus and His Word. Christ is the only one who can quench your thirst, give you irreplaceable joy, and give you freedom, salvation, and eternal life. Teens aren't exempt from a relationship with God, or from giving their lives wholeheartedly to His name and the ministry He has called for each of us. To live is Christ, and to die is gain, and now is the time that we quench low expectations, take time to know the Word of God, and proclaim the gospel into the darkness around us. God is holding you up to His standard, and He will help you accomplish great things and live in freedom and faith as you seek Him. Know Him while you're young. Time invested into His Word will not be wasted and is of eternal importance.
THERE IS NO BETTER WAY TO INVEST INTO YOUR TEEN YEARS THAN KNOWING THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE AND DEVELOPPING A FOUNDATION BUILT UPON HIS WORD TO STAND COURAGEOUSLY IN THE DAY OF FIRE. AND WHEN THE WORLD CRIES OUT TO YOU FOR AN ANSWER, YOU WILL BE PERPARED, AND ABLE TO BOLDY SAY, "I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED, AND HE IS ABLE TO MAKE ME STAND."
I also love to write (as you may be able to tell:) I have been writing since I could hold a pen but didn't start seriously writing for the Lord until I became a Christian. I hope to reach as many as the Lord allows with them gospel of Jesus Christ, and I'm thankful for this blogging platform that He has given me. When I am not writing, you'll find me studying the Word of God (or finding answers to my various theological questions), memorizing scripture, communicating with my various long-distance friends that live all around the US, and spending time in the beautiful outdoors. I also enjoy public speaking, traveling, graphic design, and working for Scripture Memory Fellowship as a Digital Media Specialist.
Your sister in Christ,
